745 Bar-tailed Godwits and 70 Whimbrel flew east past the seawatching hide this afternoon once the wind had swung round a bit. Hopefully the forecasted north-easterly winds during the next week will bring some more offshore passage. Why not come and join us by staying at the Observatory?

The 2CY male Goosander made an appearance, today. Having been present for a couple of months. It’s clearly poorly but is somehow clinging on.
