Vowed to bird more this year than last. Also to visit small sites closer to me. Led me to a short visit to Bransholme Lagoon on 01/03/2026, 14:21 - 15:02. View my #BirdTrack list: app.bto.org/birdtrack/pu...
Will certainly be worth revisiting.

Might need to brush up larid skills 😬
Records from my Meanwood Beck patch – a stream running through a corridor of suburban woodland in Leeds, UK.
Aiming for 2 complete lists each week = 100 per year. 100+ lists each year 2019 - 2025 so survey effort doesn’t explain the 2025 absence of Dipper.

16,000 records💪
I bloody ❤️ #birdtrack
Now adding graphics c/o BTO #BirdTrack - didn't make it out of Scotland again and best bird (YLG) does not make the headline! But best part of email: "Did you know that all county bird clubs are now using data from BirdTrack for their reports?" (only 75% last year, which I found quite dispiriting!)
Just reviewing my #BirdTrack 2025 report and it was good to learn that I saw 85 species at Lochwinnoch over the year, and my best day there was 4 May with 44 species.
I've got off to a very slow start this year but hope to pick things up soon. #BirdingScotland
Quick muddy look for the locally reported Barnacle Geese was fruitless but vocal Teal and Wigeon always a pleasure

Hi Gert. Not sure if you've got WeBS sorted for thus site. I popped there this afternoon and recorded the following on Birdtrack if it helps? This pink-footed goose was of interest.

Presumably the 4 (2ads) Russian Whitefronts from Spurn have relocated to Old Channel Marshes on the Outstrays now. Also 11 GWE, male and ringtail Hen Harriers and at least one Merlin in the area this morning. #BirdTrack #phonescoped @birdguides.bsky.social

Nice to see some water on the Ouse Washes yesterday, and plenty of Whooper Swans. But sadly 2 dead juv Whoopers likely avian flu victims. Reported via #BirdTrack and Defra website #UKBirding

It’s a horror show.

Another good Thrush migration night over Cambridge last night! Overall flight call counts comparable with 17 October, but a nice species composition shift over the few weeks, with Song Thrush having peaked and now outnumbered by Blackbird.

Cautionary tale to any #Birdtrack user😬
Check your lists before you press finish.
I sent a completed list on Friday that accidentally had a YB warbler ticked on it (which is rare in Northants).
RBA picked it up, and our WhatsApp group.
Only just realised it was my fault 🤦🏻♂️ #northantsbirds #ukbirds
