A buff tip moth, which camouflages itself by looking like a broken bit of a silver birch branch. It’s silvery-grey, with wings at rest that look a lot like bark. Yellow-beige colouring at the front of the thorax and at the tips of the forewings look like pale wood

A symphony of bright orange, white, purple, and yellow spring blooms greet the still waters of a Lake Kawaguchi, as Mount Fuji watches from afar, cloaked in snow beneath a boundless blue sky.

People often stop me in the street (never happened) and ask: “What do people like on Bluesky?”

“Mountains and flowers,” comes my reply.

Spring is here! A montage of spring sounds recorded in the last few weeks.

In the last few weeks traveling around the country I recorded a lot of wildlife and livestock enjoying spring. I put them all together in one place. The radio audience loved it, you might find it a bit of a refuge too.

"It was bluebell time in Kent..." Not quite at their peak, but certainly 2 weeks earlier than when I was a child, when going for a walk to see the bluebells was my birthday treat (4 May). Something magical about the stark contrast between those still wintry trees and that gorgeous carpet of blue

Brunch at The Haywain pub in Little Bromley. Exceptionally good food cooked to order, each element tasting perfectly of itself. Nothing superfluous. This double poached eggs and bacon on waffles with hollandaise cost less than a tenner. They do full English for omnis, vegetarians and vegans too.

Oh Dear, 2/10 - Edmund feels this is a tad harsh! I watched it recently with a female friend and thought it had many sweet spots. Terrific cast and it was pure escapism from my current drab existence of being on Universal Credit and being unemployed!
