Spinning cotton using dyed cotton punis. It took a bit to get the hang of drafting since some parts of the punis were very compact. I let go of aiming for a consistent yarn. Which made spinning cotton punis more joyful. #fiberarts #spinningcottonyarn #spinning #lendrum #cotton

The Nano 2.1 upgrade was soooo worthwhile!! The break tension and yarn take up is now a breeze to control, albeit nuanced. I will now enjoy spinning yarn with this wheel 🩷

I did not. I used the fast flyer on the middle whorl. Once I drafted the yarn, I held it for a count to build up twist before letting it on the bobbin. I lost control on the fastest whorl. But I do want to work up to the very fast flyer, which I just bought, after some more practice.

Try a nostepinne. I found a 3D printed one for $13 on Etsy www.etsy.com/listing/1561...

With practice and patience, it is actually possible to spin cotton on a Lendrum wheel. The natural green cotton fiber in the background shifts magically from beige to green with a little baking soda in the finishing wash. #spinningyarn #fiberarts #fiberart #handspunyarn
