Really impressed to see applied side of #massspec analysis. Just learned about a forensic assay for ~290 drugs with over 800 transitions - all in a 5 minute chromatographic run. Running on Agilent Technologies 6495D triple quad system with an amazing sensitivity. Pretty impressive stuff.

Our latest manuscript describes an #LCMS platform profiling Phase II metabolites. We annotated 424 mercapturates, glucuronides, sulfates linked to over 200 environmental chemicals. This demonstrates ILGA's value for advancing #Exposomics

When I began in analytical chemistry, I explored organic and inorganic compounds as matrices for MALDI imaging of lipids in the negative ion mode.
MALDI-MS and MS-based lipidomics were so new that my early presentations fell under OTHER → other.
Things have changed a lot since then.

NEW: NSF confirmed that they fired 168 employees today, out of their staff of ~1,500 feds.

This includes some people who'd finished their 1-year probationary periods, which were extended to 2-years last month without explanation. More to come.

Taking Omega3s and VitD over three years slowed biological aging by 3-4 months when combined with exercise.

My understanding is that clinical trials should not be interrupted, so hopefully the reports about canceled appointments are done... but it's hard to say. If you are a participant in a clinical trial (or at NIH clinical center) and have seen disruptions, I'd love to hear from you—Signal in bio.

I have heard some internal confirmation that NIH study sections are being suspended theoretically under the Federal Advisory Committee Act. Which is insane.

This looks like a very extensive and useful resource. The authors put a lot of work into this manuscript. Can't wait to read it.
