Image depicts 4 drawing steps of a Eastern Kingbird sketch study from a previous post.
The first step is a rough sketch showing the form, second is a detailed sketch, third is a color wash much like using water color over pen and ink, forth is a final render attempt. Very rare do I get to take my sketched to final because of time and life. But this one I really liked the pose and mood of so I took this time to do a proper treatment.
Progress was captured live on CassWArt Twitch channel, from sketch study to final piece. No AI used ever in the creation of any of my artwork. Need to make that very, VERY clear.
The 4 drawing steps of an Eastern Kingbird sketch study from a previous post.
Very rare these days that I get the time to take an image to a final render. So I wanted to show a little side by side of this journey.

Good point. Though the online environment is often disheartening when trying to reach people where/how/when they are/need it. The mis/disinformation wave is high and comes in full-force online (in health-related at least).
Curious to know unexpected solutions people in all areas are coming up with.

Today someone reminded me that the wealth of one's knowledge is only and truly valuable with the greater audience (as opposed to a smaller specilaized audience).
In a time of new plans, this got me thinking.
Beyond "traditional" scicomm, what's do you think? Any (creative) suggestions?

That's what I call radical scicomm!
Love how you took the chance of doing this, in that setting, to better reach your audience.
I'm sure attendees will never forget it.
I wasn't there but somehow have the sudden urge to change areas and go for canopy science 😁

Things I love in #scicomm
- learning as I go
- looking at things like it's the 1st time
- falling in love with beings I never knew before
- enjoying different ways of sharing knowledge, while having fun
Check out #invertfest 'till April 30.
