Been busy with school, but I’ll try to make an update soon
Pausing work on the Wave Survivor Game. I now have a school game assignment, which is someone unrelated to my major of computer science. Life is so weird and fun.

I added sound, and good sounds too.
Thank goodness I was able to draw a bard elsewise I'd have to keep showcasing videos in complete silence.

Permeant Upgrade System.
It's still a little rough, but I like it, you have 6 stats you can permanently increase, making each run a bit easier.
Though I need to add some VFX soon, the silence is getting loud.

Time for University once more and a new year.
That means less free time, but at least I’ve really improved in both coding and social media this year, though I still need to get better at social media and growing a following, so I can sell my games and pay of my student debt.

The new monster spawning system, as you can see it's perfectly balanced with zero issues.
No such thing as WAY too many monsters on screen at a time causing a "failure in level design".

I HAVE A LAPTOP AGAIN,
3 weeks without one, and not being able to code, even in my limited free time, but now, I may code once more. Of Course, University first, but I'm just happy to be able to code again.
With University starting soon I'll have less time to code, so here's what I have so far.
The end goal is to make a fun Turn Based RPG, using a bunch of mythical monsters. Of course you play as a monkey, otherwise it wouldn't be an Ape Byte game.

I created a video game from scratch and uploaded it to steam before starting my first year at university.
I'm so proud of myself, and though I still have a lot to learn, I did accomplish something I've always wanted to do.

I spent my day drawing, so here's what I made.
first, I practiced drawing monkeys and people.
Then I thought "I should work on wings", then my next thought was of course "This would look cool as a boss"
So now here's some art I made, I'll find a way to use it on a future project

This boss has taken the longest so far, but I think it was worth it, especially the cool lasers, I'm just happy to be done with it though.
This boss is based off of what historically built the American "Wild" West.

This boss is based on old farmers in the American Midwest, so shotgun, axes, and a shovel, and terrible farming practices, it's also based on the folk tale of Johny Appleseed.

Oil Baron cutscene, I'm keeping it similar to the Sea Serpent.
This boss is based on...Oil Barons, and the gold rush of the Wild West.
You also get to the see the signature attack, "Oil Shot" which leaves pools of boiling oil.
