I’m usually a starship modeler!

I’m a big fan of Vallejo weathering products including their acrylic panel wash. Safe on all plastics.

I used Vallejo weathering washes over a gloss finish. Water based so won’t damage plastics or resin.

Years ago I was given a 1957 Revell tooling of the Lincoln Futura concept car. For a very old kit, it came together nicely.

I used Tamiya pearl green with a clear finish of Mr. Hobby gloss spray and chrome detailing (what wasn’t already chromed) with Molotow pens.

As part of a club “Pre-1975” build challenge, I’m doing the old 1701 from AMT, originally tooled in 1967. It’s wildly inaccurate but one of the rules of the build is no aftermarket parts that weren’t available before 1975.

Neither come close to the PG Falcon.

Polar Lights got close with their 1/350 Refit but it has some minor parts fit and a couple of shape issues. Their 1/350 TOS 1701 is a work of near perfection itself but the light kit needs a rethink.
