You can now sign up your school to a free account on Maths Advance. There are 1500 challenge questions all mapped to the curriculum - but they go well beyond other resources in terms of problem-solving.
A big part of the barrier is practical. If you want to move forward with problem-solving, Maths Advance can help provide you with an infrastructure across the curriculum.

In #MathsToday, again with year 10, we were discussing algebraic and other approaches to finding the digit 'a'.
Year 10 Mathletics at lunchtime. These learners have signed up to spend their own time answering - or trying to in the case of the Collatz Conjecture - unusual and challenging questions. 35 minutes very well spent.
