In medicine, we rarely rely on a single study. It's the totality of the evidence that matters.

The thing about COVID that bothers me now, is that even epidemiologists are saying it's no longer the third leading cause of death. That's great. But. Long COVID is still VERY much a thing, and a lot of people are dying of complications, yet that isn't being addressed as such. So I will still mask.

Nope. False positives are extremely common with these kinds of tests.

If the virus was circulating in Italy in Oct 2019 we would see that reflected in hospitalizations and deaths. Again: COVID is a deadly contagious disease! It doesn't tiptoe quietly through a population like a cat burglar.

Lab leak truthers love to point out that "only" one-third to one-half of early cases were directly linked to the market but you know how many were linked to the lab?

Zero.

Plus if the virus had emerged in the summer there would have been *far* more than hundreds of cases by January.

Some important details from Robert Redfield here: Covid started in the summer of 2019*, which nukes the “wet market” natural origin timeline

And the head of the Chinese CDC told him in early January they had hundreds of cases and it “had nothing to do with the wet market.” Redfield understood that top Chinese officials were pushing the wet market narrative and U.S. officials were eager to play along since they were also implicated.

Redfield is a Trump appointee and known crank. If COVID was circulating in summer of 2019, the entire timeline of the pandemic would be different. Chinese authorities were not "pushing the wet market narrative," they actively covered it up.

What is happening to people's brains over there

I hope this message makes it to more pregnant people. Your placenta is a big ol’ vascular organ and if you looked at images of Covid-impacted placentas you would mask up *at least* in pregnancy.

Graphic from The Sick Times sharing the latest COVID-19 trends for February 10, 2026. The graphic presents trends for three metrics: WastewaterSCAN category for SARS-CoV-2, which is "high" (represented with an orange color) and stable (represented with a side to side arrow); CDC wastewater viral activity level for SARS-Cov-2, which is "moderate*" (orange) and reports a slight increase (diagonal up arrow); and CDC COVID-19 test positivity, which is moderate (darker yellow) and stable. Text below these metrics reads: "*CDC wastewater viral activity levels are calculated based on measurements in the last two years only. They do not account for the lower spread that could be possible with more widespread precautions."

The middle text reads, "The U.S.’s long winter COVID-19 wave continues. Major national metrics are at plateaus as of late January, as disease levels increase in some regions and decrease in others. In better news, flu levels are declining again, after an uptick last week."

The U.S.’s long winter COVID-19 wave continues, as disease levels increase in some regions and decrease in others. Flu levels are declining again. And measles also continues spreading in the U.S.; the latest hotspots for this disease are immigration detention centers. bit.ly/3MdqPlz

The planet burns, but most educated people still eat beef. Millions are disabled weekly by Long COVID, but most people still don't mask up where indoors.

Reminder: just because most people are doing something doesn't mean that behavior is aligned with either science or even their own stated morals.

Long COVID may be triggering Alzheimer’s-like changes in the brain: new study Over 20 million Americans are believed to have long COVID, suffering symptoms such as severe fatigue, shortness of breath, chest pain, palpitations, dizziness and muscle pain.

A well fitted N95 mask offers excellent protection against Covid.

When people lose their sense of smell or taste … it’s because the virus is damaging the brain.

We’ve seen a drop in IQ with each covid infection.

An increase in vascular disease.

Long COVID may trigger Alzheimer’s.

Mask up!

This DEFINITELY deserves a classroom analysis by students. Children need to use their math & media skills to learn about information bias in the media.

“So how long are you going to wear a mask?”

“I don’t know, how long are you and everyone else going to ignore how constant Covid infections are damaging our bodies and killing us slowly before you demand govt invest in clean air everywhere, paid sick days to curb spread, and a universal vaccine?”

SARS-CoV-2 Infection and Vaccination, Immune Dysregulation, and Cancer

🚨A PREPRINT, with an IMPORTANT warning: #Leonardi_effect→Cancer risk↑

SARS-CoV-2 infection creates a tumor-permissive immune landscape in long COVID, potentially elevating long-term cancer risk through persistent dysregulation.

➡️“SARS-CoV-2 is not a classical oncogenic virus: it lacks dedicated viral oncogenes, does not typically establish long-term persistence(one could debate this!), and differs fundamentally from canonical oncoviruses such as HPV, HBV, and EBV.”

➡️“Nevertheless, mounting evidence shows that the virus perturbs multiple cancer-relevant pathways, creating conditions that may promote tumor initiation or progression in susceptible tissues.”

We are in an official flu epidemic and COVID still around so I’ll be taking my distance and wear a mask if I need to go out as a person with a heart condition.

Better safe than very ill. 😷

Yes, it is really hard living during an ongoing pandemic when you can try your hardest but still not be able to prevent the ones you love becoming disabled and dying an early death because they refuse to take precautions.
