I have many; my answer depends on the day.

I just finished one that was so good I want to write the author and thank them. #book #currentfavoritebook

While attending a concert of Handel's Messiah, when the song "He was despised and rejected of men" was sung last night by a male alto, I had vision of that piece being song by Morrissey.

Have the #Smiths ever done #Handel? I think it would work.

What Is Claude? Anthropic Doesn’t Know, Either Researchers at the company are trying to understand their A.I. system’s mind—examining its neurons, running it through psychology experiments, and putting it on the therapy couch.

This article is amazing. Sorry its behind a paywall. I keep thinking about it and just finished a conversation with Claude about it. One paragraph in particular I sent to Claude; their response was just what I needed. #ai #anthropic #nyer

Collage of close-up willow branches at different stages of spring growth: tight reddish buds and soft silver catkins against a blurred green background, frost-dusted buds along a twig, and fully opened golden, pollen-rich catkins glowing in warm light.

Collage of close-up willow branches at different stages of spring growth: tight reddish buds and soft silver catkins against a blurred green background, frost-dusted buds along a twig, and fully opened golden, pollen-rich catkins glowing in warm light.

A legend tells that when a mother cat’s cries rose by the river, the willow bent low and trailed its branches through the water, saving her drowning kittens. Where their small paws brushed the boughs, soft catkins grew, a gentle reminder of love and compassion. #FolkloreSunday

Girl with Hyacinths (1950) A young woman dies by suicide and leaves all her belongings to her next-door neighbour, who becomes determined to investigate her reasons for taking her life.

I’ve always thought you have to watch a lot of films, many no so good, many mediocre. Then that film comes along that knocks your socks off. That happened to me today. Available on Criterion, right now. I will watch this again. #filmsky #moviesky

Two slices of French toast cooked sitting on a paper plate next to a fork covered in 100% NYS maple syrup

Pardon the paper plate. We just moved. First French toast in the new apartment. Heidelberg bread, Penzeys cinnamon, eggs for my friend Barb’s farm, and maple syrup from Tully New York. Perfect start to the new year.
