Warm trip to Exminster Marshes earlier in the week, some good birds with the continental blackwit, lingering whitefront, spotshank, spoonbill, 2 sedge, 2 reed, & 2 WW, swallows + 1 house martin. Additionally - our first large white, nettle tap moth, and common lizard of the year!

From my local area of Torquay in the past week - red kite, 5+ firecrest, 1 RTD, guilles & fulmar, nuthatch, GSW drumming, 35+ greenfinch, 2 skylark & 1 linnet in off sea, 3 palmate newt, 4+ porpoise, grey-patched & yellow-legged mining bees, 1 carder, and a comma.

From recent days; lesser spotted woodpecker, spoonbill, wheatear, goosander, marsh tit, red kite, palmate newt, brown hare, porpoise, violet oil beetle, bloody-nosed beetle, 4 species of mining bee, & red-speckled anemone. All from south devon. Just passed 300 sp for my animal yearlist!

Had a short holiday down in falmouth recently, saw some gulls at hayle and loads of cool sea creatures in falmouth. Also had a pair of red-necked grebes and a goshawk from the train!

Broad-clawed or Hairy Porcelain Crab, about 60-100 individuals seen over 2 days
Gracile Sea Spider, 1 found on the first day and followed up by 5+ more today
Side-gilled Seaslug, 2 or 3 found
Rock Goby
Worm Pipefish, 12+ individuals found today
Velvet Crab, probably at least 25+ seen over two days
Green Sea Urchins, 6+ found over the 2 days
Aeolidia filomenae, common but beautiful nudibranch species, we found 5 individuals over the 2 days
Sea Gherkin (Pawsonia saxicola), 2 found today and along with one unidentified brown sea cucumber found yesterday, our first ever sea cucumbers
