Why art?

Been enjoying the series. Have a rather random question though... Do you pack really light or is someone carrying your bag for you?
If travelling light, I'm very impressed!

To all of these men in particular who cannot understand why sexual assault that occurred decades ago still matters.

I was sexually assaulted twenty six years ago.

I am closer to fifty than forty.

I still will not get on elevator with men if I am by myself.

That's why it matters.

Drone view taken over the sea, looking at waves crashing onto a small rocky island below, and in the distance a flat brown headland with a black sand beach just visible and impressive pointy brown mountains (with a little snow on the left hand peak) above.

I've got much more confident with sending my drone further in the last year - doesn't phase me taking it over the open sea any more, 1-2km away. You get some good views of old favourites by doing so!

Doggie heaven - Lola at 16 weeks

Our photograph looks down over a quiet railway station from the vantage point of a bridge. The viewer is positioned directly above the tracks, looking straight along them as they stretch into the distance. Two parallel railway tracks run from the bottom center of the image toward the horizon, creating strong lines that guide the eye forward. On either side of the tracks are narrow platforms edged with bright yellow safety lines. The platforms appear empty and calm, with a few small details such as benches and railings visible along their edges. A decorative metal footbridge crosses the tracks about halfway down the scene. Its lattice-style sides form a delicate pattern, casting faint shadows onto the platforms below. Beyond this bridge, another overpass or structure sits further in the distance, adding depth to the scene. To the right side of the station stands a row of traditional houses with white walls and dark roofs. Several tall chimneys rise from the rooftops, their shapes silhouetted slightly against the sky. A stone wall runs along the platform beneath these houses, giving the station an old, sturdy character. On the left side are lower buildings and station structures with slanted roofs that catch a faint glimmer of light. Fencing lines the platform edges, separating the station from the surrounding area. Dominating the upper part of the image is a brilliant sun set high in a deep blue sky. The sunlight radiates outward in long, sharp beams, creating a dramatic starburst effect. The brightness of the sun contrasts strongly with the darker foreground, making the tracks and station appear partially in shadow. In the far distance beyond the station, the landscape opens into fields and a line of bare trees along the horizon, suggesting a rural or small-town setting. The overall mood is peaceful and still. An empty station resting beneath a powerful winter sun. Finally, our picture is finished with a white border frame.
