Derbyshire Wildlife Trust launches White Stork project A new conservation project aims to release White Storks in Derbyshire, with a purpose-built breeding enclosure planned at Willington Wetlands.

I find this utterly baffling.
No real evidence of White Storks being a native species at any point in recent history. Why spend significant amounts of money on weird vanity projects when actual conservation really needs it?
