Thanks for the comment Bethanne. I was in Missoula recently, watched an eagle pair nesting on the sand pile at the county maintenance facility off of Broadway, at the Wye. Interesting place for a nest! Agreed, very cool to watch nature in action.

Sounded like a Townsend’s Warbler but looked like a Hermit Warbler with yellow on the chest and faint black streaks.
A common wood pigeon (Columba palumbus) perched atop a wooden fence trellis, with a conifer trunk and foliage behind.
A Eurasian collared dove (Streptopelia decaocto) standing in the exact same spot a couple of minutes later 🙂
