Extremely proud of my students Quinn, who presented a poster, and Sophia, who gave a talk, for doing a fantastic job presenting their ongoing work at #Hypertension25

Introverts rally! Stand up and fight back when science is under attack! #standupforscience
It appears the study section set to review my grant tomorrow has been canceled. Something I’ve put 5 years of effort into. I don’t have any words 😔
Scientists are now organizing events, called Stand Up for Science, on 7 March in Washington, D.C., and state capitals.
So far, they have attracted more than 100 volunteers from some 30 states who are hoping to rally support for research as a public good. scim.ag/4328LAD

Who is completing a rotation with us and is doing an excellent job. I’m so thankful to work with each of them and to watch them learn and grow as scientists.
Raghad is our technician who is mastering new technique after technique. Rahi is a stellar undergraduate who is completing her capstone project with the lab and hopes to go to med school. Carley is an LHSI intern undergraduate who is planning to study nursing. Sophia is a fantastic 1st year student
I’ve been pretty down lately given everything that’s changing. However, these women give me hope and I want to highlight the bright star that each of them is. Quinn, is a 2nd year PhD student who’s finishing up classes and troubleshooting a very large flow cytometry protocol as part of her project.
Ooo this is a good one ☺️

The "bluesky is an echo chamber" think pieces that keep popping up really tickle me because they show how certain people genuinely believe social media should be for debating and arguing and not talking about the things that make you happy and sharing art with the world.
