Motus is a collaborative research network that allows researchers to understand the ecology of migratory birds. The tags use radio telemetry to determine the location of tagged individuals, where this research can greatly contribute to understanding avian migratory patterns and behaviours.

Brand new!! We studied 2 populations of Rusty Blackbird in eastern North America using NanoTag transmitters (Motus Tracking System) to determine migratory routes, stopover locations, & wintering areas.
