I manged to piece together the ring number for this Cirl Bunting that's been at West Bex for at least a week now. Almost instant feedback from the BTO. It was a nestling, ringed on the coast in Devon about 7km east of Wembury. That’s just over 100km away direct… quite a movement for a non-migrant.

From the village walk towards Cardiff passing the farm on your right onto Cwrt Yr Ala Road . It’s at the bottom of the second field on your right.

Handful of Fieldfare this morning where my first for a few weeks. Looking on the EuroBirdPortal website still looks like most birds are in Finland and Sweden compared to the same time last year. #UKBirding #SuffolkBirds

This is F:250. Ringed on Flatholm as a chick in 2015 and still going strong. In Cardiff today but spotted near Oldham in 2020.
