I was fortunate enough to be in Norfolk, when news broke of a 2cy Ross’s Gull at Titchwell. It was relocated in a ploughed field nearby, but for the lucky few, it did a brief flyby. I quickly snapped some shots, but looking into the sun unfortunately, so not the best. #UKbirding #Rarebird

It was good to see the Hume's Warbler at Lowestoft on 14/2/26. It gave brief views in the morning, and then wasn’t seen for a few hours: I relocated it early afternoon, in the north-east corner of Sparrow's Nest Gardens, where it showed very well.

Black-winged Kite breeds in Denmark and Hungary for the first time Black-winged Kite has bred in Denmark and Hungary for the very first time this year, marking a significant northward advance for the striking raptor. Breeding was recorded in Hungary in the country's south-east region. Two chicks hatched and subsequently fledged from an initial clutch of four eggs. Meanwhile, the first Danish breeding record has occurred. A pair was recorded exhibiting nesting behaviour, including nest-building and mating, in central Jutland in September.

Black-winged Kite has bred in both Denmark and Hungary for the first time this year, continuing the species' range expansion into Central and Northern Europe:

Managed to connect with the stunning male Turkestan Shrike on Saturday, after relocating it early morning. Even managed to get some reasonable photos – which is always a bonus.

A trip down to Landguard this morning produced a few migrants: 2 Blk Redstarts, Wheatear, Willow Warbler, 4 Lsr Whitethroats, and quite a few Clouded Yellows; however, my local patch at Denston this afternoon produced this nice 3cy YLG. #Larid #Suffolkbirds #Patchbirding #Gulls
