Top view of Tiny Tornado. I went a bit overboard with the shading but I had to try out my new airbrush.
I kind of like the bit stylized „video game“ look. Maybe not realistic but interesting looking xP

Calling Tiny Tornado 2 done!
Had a bit of trouble at the end but overall turned out to be a nice little plane (if you don’t look too closely 😂)

Build was a fight and the decals very fragile. I've defo built better. First time I've used Hataka paints. I like them.
Next one will be better.

#histscalemodels #scalemodels This is my "palette cleanser" after a long building spree of WWII tanks and aircraft: a 1917 Model T ambulance. Still needs post-shading and weathering.

The blue color was a challenge. I ended up using Vallejo's Model Air IDF Blue with a drop of flat black.

Luftschiff Zeppelin 11 Viktoria Luise

Luftschiff Zeppelin 7 Deutschland (1200mm)

Finished with this for now…lots wrong with it but some things worked out OK. My biggest issue is finding the figures that I want that also have good detailing…this one doesn’t really…ho hum…happy Easter all…😊👍

Not quite finished with this little jewel, but getting close. The Yellow Wings Decals set is spectacular. It has complete decals for five aircraft, so I am buying every one of these Monogram kits I see now! #histscalemodels

And nothing moves around once the lid is on and the box stored.

Still think putting everything in bags would have been better and that the box should be thicker.

1 month ago 0 0 0 0

Decided to get rid of the bags.

Instead, I packed the chapter contents flat with the instruction sheets as seperators between each chapter.
The instruction sheet is the same size as the box.
Then placed the basic game content including dice etc on top.
Everything fits!

I was concerned when I started on the first chapter.

The box should be about 50% thicker.

So I completed the campaign in 'Under Falling Skies' and I have a problem. The campaigns were all initially flat packed into the box, but once you use them they don't fit back in.
I put each chapter in a bag and now the box isn't big enough to hold all the game components.

Has any one solved this?

At the height of the US postcard craze, “tall-tale” cards imagined a land of giant-sized plenty. In this 1909 series, Californian rail cars haul colossal fruit and veg — turning agricultural pride into something surreal and strangely beautiful: publicdomainreview.org/collection/g...

Messing about with a bit of stage setting I guess…the only reason for the red gas canister is because it’s nice and red and I like the way it brightens the scene. Working title ‘dank’ at the moment perhaps…🥃😊🤷‍♂️

This is the kit the shroud frame came with.
(Galleon, not a Galley)
It's 1/200 and nor 1/400, which explains the gap between ratlines being twice it should be!

But hey, it's free.

The distance between the ratlines on the shrouds are a bit big, but I think visually they work.

It's a tough build
The nets sort of worked but it was frustrating to do and I just had to do my best. I did use some Uschi thread because i thought it was easier, but it wasn't really.

Anyway the shrouds are easier, I saved a frame that came with a Heller Galley kit. Had toi relearn how to use it.

Decided to not use the Uschi elastic rigging thread, the reels I have are to thin, instead I'm using some fine plastic (nylon?) sowing thread.
Will probably paint it when complete.

Not sure what to do with rigging.
The rat lines are a particular problem.

Do I bother?

Decals applied, also the timber to support the anti-boarding nets done. Some of the tiny 1/400 sailors clinging on for dear life.

I'm thinking of trying to use Uschi fine elastic rigging thread to implement nets. Probably need to start thinking about the sea and base!

I have ordered some tiny 1/400 20th century figures which I hope I can paint a few to look 17th century.
Note the guns on one side look a mess since the ship will be listing to one side.
