I second critique groups! Also, #12x12! And it helps so much to start out the new year with a month’s worth of fresh ideas thanks to #storystorm! And, of course, having #PBParty each year to look forward to keeps me pushing.

My work always gets stronger through preparing for a contest or conference. I was a 2025 #PBParty finalist and connected with my now agent as a result. In 2023 I was a #12x12 scholarship recipient and it was so rewarding to meet the challenge of writing a new PB a month all year long! #KidLitChat
