We couldn't drive through Winston-Salem without stopping at the last remaining shell-shaped Shell station! Built in 1930, it's been beautifully restored and even has a diorama inside for when you peek through the windows!

"Ruined seascape 2" by cdx-foto. A view out to sea through a heavily corroded concrete arch. The concrete is heavily stained and the metal support beams are exposed by corrosion. The concrete floor features a raised square platform featuring a mysterious circular imprint of 8 holes. Beyond this a metal framework juts out over the tranquil sea. Early morning light illuminates ripples on the water. On the horizon a thin strip of land merges with high clouds.
