#2026Reading: "Ladies in Hating" by Alexandra Vasti - I don't typically read Regencies, but I'd read more Vasti (also, this was disguised as a Gothic, so I plead well-meaning trickery ...) www.michael-hartford.com/2026-reads-l...
5.- I read Olivia Waite's _Murder by Memory_, first in her Dorothy Gentleman cozy mysteries in space.

Book No.6 of 2026.
These books are destroying me. Sobbing at the end of this one which was unhelpful as I was about to head out to work & the beginning of the next one opened with a heartbreaking scene too. Honestly can't recommend this series highly enough. #Booksky #2026Reading #Bookshelf

Pictured is the cover to Mark Greaney's DEAD EYE.
#2026reading
While mostly reading fantasy and science fiction, my go-to palate cleansers are usually military thrillers like DEAD EYE, 3rd in Mark Greaney's Gray Man series and my 17th read completed in 2026. (No one will have noticed but I skipped 16, a beta read that has no cover yet).
#2026Reading: "The Wind at Winter's End," a Gothic by Charles Grant (writing as Deborah Lewis) - with another 100 pages, I think this could have been great; at just 200 pages, it's a bit slight www.michael-hartford.com/2026-reads-t...
Book No.5 of 2026.
Trying not to feel like I'm way behind on my reading for the year as I'm not in competition with anyone, lol.
I was right about where I thought the book was going but again, didn't hamper my enjoyment of it. Will try not to think while on book 3, lol. #Booksky #2026Reading

#2026Reading
Typically I read military thrillers like Mark Greaney's Ballistic (2011), third in his Gray Man series, very quickly (as I have with at least five others from this series) but for some reason I struggled with this one but now it's my 13th completed read of 2026. And back to fantasy...
Book No.2 of 2026. Finished it last month & really loved it. It was my favorite of the trilogy so I was a little sad to say goodbye but I'll definitely be keeping all the books for another read as there were scenes that tied all the books together which I loved.
