A stunning image of Comet C/2000 WM1 (LINEAR) captured on February 1st, 2002, from near Sydney, Australia. The bright coma and a 3-degree dust tail are clearly visible despite a nearly full moon. This unexpectedly bright comet was visible to the naked eye in southern skies.
