A grayscale image captured by the European Southern Observatory's Antu telescope shows the fragmented nucleus of Comet LINEAR (C/1999 S4 LINEAR) as a swarm of mini-comets within a cloud of gas and dust. The image reveals the dynamic behavior of the comet's remains, with noticeable changes observed within a 24-hour period. Faint star trails are visible in the background.
