This is the beginning of a towel pattern called #Dresden. I am very happy with this project on my #SchachtBabyWolf Loom. This kind of project is why I wanted to learn how to #weave after I #retired. #8ShaftLoom

I should be packing (move is Friday) I determined that the first time I weave on my new loom shouldn’t be on the first day of a three day workshop in June, so I went to the art studio and unpacked the warping board and threw on a little mini project to test everything out.

My second Summer & Winter tea towels samples using 10/3 white cotton warp and 8/2 weft at 18 EPI. Rainbow colors for some cheer. The blocks are a simple Fibonacci series, 1-2-3-5-8. A Fun weave!

For this Summer & Winter sample, I'm using 10/3 cotton warp and weft at 24 EPI. It is a pretty tight sett. The pattern weft is 3/2 Valley Yarns cotton in Pine Green.

OMG! So far, I'm loving Summer & Winter. I'll share when these are done.

Front of the loom this time. More than half of the individual threads are ties in bundles and draped over the shafts waiting to be threaded. The rest are threaded and tied into bundles for the next step. This is the slow part

There were 500 hundred threads. Tied in neat bundles. I took one and put through the eye and then I started again…
