A bust of teenage Janebba with a 90s grunge aesthetic and a slug hair clip. Easter Egg: Twice a year (unless the weather was severely influenced by Kythri), Janebba looked forward to the Slug Race. As the wet season began and brakish waters poured in from Zarash Bay, racers would race upon dire and horrid slugs all the way upriver to Slug Keep. In Rhaan or Sypheros as the waters were expected to recede, racers would race the new season of snails alongside the harvest back to Zarash'ak. Janebba won the Receding race during her 15th summer, which allowed her to sit upon the Valshar'ak Throne for a day and give decrees, which the townsfolk humored for the day. As the Slug Princess, Janebba's edict was mandatory slug mustaches for all people outside of their homes.
Esma was raised in the Marches as Janebba of Lômtolanen, with a childhood where going to Valshar'ak was considered a trip to the "Big City." Janebba traveled with her foster father up and down Silverslime River. (Alt text 🥚)
