Styled By Design wears a high fashion take on traditional Filipino attire. She wears a crown in the shape of the Philippine sun that appears on the Filipino flag and it also has jasmine on it (called 'sampaguita' in Tagalog), which is the National flower of the Philippines, a cream corset terno top with long and dramatic sleeves (which are also known as 'butterfly' sleeves; terno sleeves or butterfly sleeves are usually shorter and sit arched and more flat along the shoulder), a malong inspired skirt (malong are a tube like or wraparound skirt with geometric designs and designs native to the Bangsamoro (also known as the Moro) people in South Mindanao & the Sulu archipelago), bakya shoes (traditional Filipino clogs that are carved with geometric, floral or landscape designs and varnished or painted) carved with bahay kubo huts (traditional Filipino houses made of bamboo and nipa grass) and gold janggay jewelry (Janggay are the metal fingernail extensions worn by Badjao (native to the Sulu archipelago) dancers during the Pangalay dance).
