At #aarsbl2023 I'm seeing folks I went to grad school with almost 30 years ago.

I'm aware of getting older but I see my face everyday. It's different seeing folks intermittently - when did we get so old and grey?

SHARED SCRIPTS. STRATEGIES. & FRAMEWORKS OF
HINDU NATIONALISM AND WHITE CHRISTIAN NATIONALISM IN INDIA AND TH
CO-SPONSORED WITH THE SECULARISM AND SECULARITY UNIT
Religious nationalisms develop in conversation with one another: despite their sometimes public confrontations and apparently divergent ideologies, many of today's religious nationalisms share discursive strategies, institutional structures, funding models, and media ecosystems, learning from one another through both competition and collaboration. The proposed roundtable will explore the connections between two growing and intertwined religious nationalisms: White Christian nationalism and Hindu nationalism in the US and in India. These movements exhibit marked similarities in their ideological foundations, rhetorical strategies, institutional initiatives, and use of media.

Reminding myself now to just say no to everything for the AAR next year.

Literally just put into my calendar: “Say NO, no matter who or what!

I’m tired just thinking about my insane schedule this year. Excited to see folks I haven’t seen in a minute though! #AARSBL2023
