They rallied each other and their supporters two weeks before reaching a historic tentative agreement with their employer. “Giving Back to Build ‘a Better World;’ In mid May, local and state leaders engaged community partners to distribute 10,000 books as part of our national union's ongoing literacy drive. PreK-12 educators joined neighborhood nonprofits and elected officials for a morning of activities for students and their families.
