Watched Jan 5, 2026 005/365/2025 - I won't spoil it, but: BIG fan of the needle drop at the credits! This is one where expectations really matter. We Bury the Dead is a slower-burn drama first, with the undead functioning more as a character-driven presence than a source of constant threat. This is not a rabid, kinetic zombie movie, and it is clearly uninterested in becoming one. The horror is subdued, reflective, and rooted in atmosphere and emotional fallout rather than spectacle. If you go in prepared for that pacing and intent, you are likely to get a lot more out of it. Taken on its own terms, it is thoughtful, patient, and occasionally quite moving, even if it never fully escalates into something transcendent. A solid, contemplative genre entry that rewards the right mindset. โข I could see myself ranking this higher on a rewatch...
I love when the theater makes it possible for turkeys (triple features).

Sisu: Road to Revenge is as insane and entertaining as the first Sisu. I hope showing this as the Screen Unseen gets more eyes on it because this is a movie to enjoy with big crowds. #AMCscreenunseen
