A quick introduction (with lots of room for more info) to #NINA #EKOS and #ASIAir at www.astropotamus.com/learn/automa... 🌌🔭🦛 Learn more about #Astrophotography on my web site.
A photograph of a star field that includes two small faint galaxies. The smaller galaxy can just be resolved as a face-on spiral with a supernova (bright star) to the right of its galactic core.
A screenshot from earlier tonight showing an #ASIAIR image capture in progress. The target is #supernova 2025tam in NGC 6708 (above centre). The supernova is the "bright star" to the right of the galaxy's core. Very happy with the 190mm Mak-Newt scope and AM5 guiding tonight. 🔭

Here’s a star-forming region located next to the Lagoon Nebula. I just got over 7 hours of total exposures but it still turned out great. I processed it using two color palettes: SHO & HSO.

I only have a limited window to the Southeast, so set the #ASIAir plan to that region before the fog rolled in. Managed to get 15 three minute exposures of #M8 the "Lagoon" nebula with the #RedCat51 Hope to get more soon! #SoCal #Astrophotography
Here’s galaxy #M106 which has some Hydrogen alpha ions that you see can glowing in that reddish-pink color. I captured 19.5 hours of total data integration on this one. I really like how it turned out! 👍

My setup from last night. My target? M53 Globular star cluster! Stay tuned for the results.

This image shows a telescope set up in an observatory, illuminated by red lighting. The telescope is a Takahashi model, renowned for its precision and high-quality optics. The observatory is tailored for astronomical purposes, and the red lighting aids astronomers in preserving their night vision while working in the dark. The backdrop features a dark sky, indicating it's nighttime—the ideal setting for stargazing and observing celestial phenomena.
The image depicts a dense globular cluster of stars in space, captured through astrophotography. It highlights a luminous central region densely packed with stars, transitioning to less dense areas toward the edges. Overlaying the image are various interface elements from astrophotography software, including a guiding graph (with RA at 0.39", DEC at 0.40", total at 0.56"), a histogram, and controls. Additional details displayed include the resolution (3840x2160), gain (252), temperature (-10.1°C at 17% cooling), and meridian timing (10m 32s). The capture progress is shown as 52 seconds elapsed out of 276/300 frames.
Last night once again Messier 13. The Picture is a single shot of M13. The composite image with a total of 300 individual images, must first be stacked.

The new ASIAir is working great! I can now use my smart phone or tablet to control everything. Here are a couple narrowband examples of what I captured with this configuration. Taken from my suburban home during a bright moon. I have more to learn about narrowband.

Langrenus crater next to the Mare Fecunditatis from Manchester UK last night. 132km in diameter. Somerville crater near the top right edge named after scottish physicist Mary Somerville. Look up. #zwoasi #asiair #am5 #registax

2024 was a terrible year in regard to my #astrophotography. I save all the logs of my ASIAIR and as such I can generate a graph like this.
I am in a bit of an astro-rut. My YouTube channel hasn't had a video upload for quite some time too. 2025 can only be better!
We’re expecting 10-18” of snow and it’s been cloudy for almost a month.🙄So here’s my main rig at the moment. I plan to capture some planetary shots after it stops #astrophotography #astrorig #astrogear #telescope #oag #guidecamera #zwo #askar #celestron #eaf #asiair #asi2600 #asi174 #edgehd #edgehd8
Surprisingly clear skies tonight in so taking the opportunity to capture more #Jupiter data. This is a #Asiair stack of 60 seconds of video.

Spot on, #ASIAIR by

#ZwoAstro, should have an option to automatically save subs and live view data so you don't lose your time.
You have to enable imaging mode or a plan to record your subs.
My first time using it lost 4 hours of data.
I have two telescopes and two mounts. For a long time I haven’t used the #CEM40 and the William Optics GT81 with ASI2600MM Pro camera. The reason: the #ASIAIR Pro on it had died.
I tried an iOptron iMate but couldn’t get it to work. Spotted a good deal and bought a 2nd ASIAIR Plus 256.
I just captured over 17 hours on the North American Nebula. It turned out far better than I ever imagined! This is just the Cygnus Wall portion.
