I'm pulling the plug on the #RockAndRollReading at #AWP25. Might bring it back for #AWP26, but maybe #KC and #AWP24 was the swan song. Just want to let folks know.
If you visited the bookfair at #awp24 (even if you didn't visit our booth) we invite you to take our 10-15 minute survey about bookfair habits and preferences. In exchange, you get a free digital copy of an issue of your choice and a chance to win a swag prize pack!
From our #AWP24 panel reports, check out this write up of "The Braided Essay as Change Agent"!

Because photos of poetry events are so dramatic, here I am saying something insightful during "Working Class Jews: A Poetics of American Assimilation," #AWP24

One of my fave photos from #AWP24! I got to hang out with Abby E. Murray, editor of Collateral Journal and author of the Perugia Press poetry collection “Hail and Farewell,” which explores Abby's experiences as a “cheerfully aggressive pacifist” who also happens to married to a U.S. Army officer!
It was great to meet so many #poets who’ve been in Poetry South at #AWP24 in Kansas City! We also loved talking to poets who might want to submit. Don’t forget to mention that you talked to us in your cover letters. Can’t wait to see your work!

From #AWP24:
- What veteran-friendly publisher is closing?
- What are AWP's "war-writers tribe" potentially cooking-up as an organizational framework?
- Will there be a new arts residency for veterans in 2024-25?
- Is that @fobhaiku.bsky.social in this AWP photo?!

loved seeing you #AWP24! and now this
I had a great time at #AWP24, meeting new people, seeing old friends, and talking to my editors. See my full recap on my (always free) Substack. open.substack.com/pub/kendalld...
#AWP24: The Cruddening
#awp24 is always chaos but going in support of a book took me up to an 11. I know I missed seeing a lot of people, but I had some amazing dinners with my MFA fam, made some new friends, and worked on my reading skills. All in all, a fantastic conference.
A busy & fulfilling weekend at #AWP24. The pleasure of their company: Michael Martone, Jesse Lee Kercheval, & many others.
Finally back home. Had a great time at #AWP24 reconnecting with old friends and making new ones. I feel inspired and energized to continue doing this labor of love called writing.

Brilliant time at #AWP24.
Got to reunite with so many authors and talk working-class storytelling. Someone told me they didn't feel like they belonged until hearing my presentation. Hot dang.
Also helped that I went backing a Michigan Notable Book with ENOUGH TO LOSE.
There will be a much longer write-up of my first #AWP #AWP24 experience, but I went to bed late and exhausted to wake up fucking energized and inspired by all the people I met, saw, and heard speak. Also, I am still exhausted, but let's get to work. 💙
Hi. So happy I got to see you. I wish I could have seen you. I saw you but you didn’t see me and then you were gone. I was planning to see you but then I ended up eating barbecue instead. Hope I get to see you again. #AWP24
Young woman holds copies of David Scott Hay's novel, The Fountain, and Hobie Anthony's novel, Liminal.
Looks like there were smart cookies at #AWP24 this year.
If you missed your opportunity to buy my book, Liminal, or any other Whiskey Tit tome, including friend David Scott Hay's, The Fountain, it's not too late. This URL goes to mine but you'll find more brilliance: whiskeytit.com/product/limi...
