The 1914-1918 war memorial on the esplanade Charles-de-Gaulle, in Pessac Centre (Bordeaux).

The B tram in #Bordeaux was not running today, so I had to make a short detour to get to work at the #InstitutAusonius. I took the opportunity to see a bit of Pessac. Every cloud has a silver lining.

Beautiful inscription of a 'praetor' of Burdigala. It mentions the 'praetor' of the city, who donated hydraulic structures to the city as an act of evergetism. The Gallo-Roman 'praetor' is a very interesting one, so I will talk about it soon.
