Screenshot from the 'search' popout on the Acquia documentation website. There's a magnifying glass icon next to the word 'search' - a common if non-conformant pattern for designating search fields. but it's not a search field. Below that is a filter label & a control; under that are chosen filters (only 'web governance' is shown), plus a 'clear filters' action. Below that is the phrase 'Ask a question. Tell us what you're looking for....' But it's just floating in space, as though it's meant to describe something - but there's nothing evident to describe. No field is visible. But if you click around randomly, you can figure out that the vague description is supposed to BE the field - even though there's nothing to indicate this.
When asked, Acquia fails to understand why this is a problem.
Textbook WCAG violations, here: Using placeholder text to label the search field, & making the borders on the search field so light that they're impossible for some users to see. (They are invisible on my monitor.)
