Adrienne Hill, who played ill-fated companion Katarina during the First Doctor's era, was born on this date in 1937. Sadly, Adrienne succumbed to cancer in 1997.

Here's that aforementioned 1985 #ChildrenInNeed charity special that #AdrienneHill appeared in. After her stint on Doctor Who, Adrienne rarely partook in #DoctorWho conventions and other show-affiliated events, so this is a very rare appearance.

Today would have been Adrienne Hill's 87th birthday. Adrienne played ill-fated, 1st Doctor companion Katarina.
Her character had the dubious distinction of being the first companion character to perish on #DoctorWho.
