#chinguChallenge #kdrama Day 5: Fave villain. I cannot tell a lie, it is Jin Mu of #AlchemyOfSouls. I have a strong sense #JoJaeYun had the best fun ever in this role (adore him)--but also bonus Jin Mu love for #DoSangWoo in S. 2 who (in someone else's words) "out Jin Mu'd Jin Mu".
#AlchemyOfSouls is my fave #kdrama, but I hate the Seo Yul tune "Tree", I don't care if Minhyun sings it. This OST has such bangers ("Scars Leave Beautiful Trace" 🥹) yet they also subject us to this meh sutff? And why is the opening theme such a nothing?
I convinced a friend to watch #AlchemyofSouls with subtitles. I said you will entirely miss not only the gorgeous depth of tones of voice but the emotional impact. Otherwise don't watch it! She watched with subtitles and loved it.
And SPOILER nothing like General Li brother-zoning himself to his own heartache. Here's another sweet 2nd ML to fall in love with and feel sorry for, while not choosing him over the ML. Sigh. I'm looking at you #AlchemyofSouls.
I love Bu-yeon and Uk so much. Part 2 is so damn good! A much needed romcom relief after the tragic love story. #AlchemyOfSouls
I'm on Viki so lots of Cdramas there too as well as Korean, Japanese, Thai etc & cheaper than all of them at €5. I cancelled Netflix over last price hike but it has #AlchemyofSouls which i rewatch every few months or so, also #Healer, #KingEternalMonarch.

Just finished the 2nd season of “Alchemy of Souls” 🌸 It was good but very different ftom season 1. It is less snarky and more romantic. The chemistry between this couple is good but softer than the original pairing. The ensemble cast is great, too.
