Although I can’t remember specific scenes of it now, I’ve seen it in quite a few dramas. I’m pretty sure it’s in #LoveLiketheGalaxy & #TheLongBallad - but it’s been in a ton of others too 🙂

Li Leyan, played by Zhao Lusi, from the 2021 #cdrama #TheLongBallad

In contrast to the FL, younger sister Leyan is strong and perseveres in a very feminine way. She cares, she gives, she loves, she adapts, she survives. I *love* that.

This song was in my mind too - in the end I decided to go with her more recent OST for #FatedHearts, but I loved this haunting song 😻

She’s done some amazing OSTs over the years - another of my favourites is the one she did a few years ago for #TheLongBallad

I just finished my first one recently. I rated #TheLongBallad 9/10, actually, with Leo Wu as her co-star. (Zhao Lusi's role was my favorite because she got to be femme and bad-ass, not just masc and bad-ass like Dilraba's character.)

(This is a hoot.) You've been kidnapped. The characters from the last TV show you watched are trying to rescue you. Who's coming to save you? Just rewatched #TheLongBallad with massive skipping to fave bits. Woo hoo I get the entire Eagle Division led by Ashile A'Sun. Mission accomplished!

Actually I could relate to all couple and characters and thats rather rare for my experience. I loved the look&costumes from main couple but agree LYN look was underwhelming. His character development was just spot on! I love dramas with

…his acting really shone through and the ways his expression and eyes softened toward his love interest revealed an adorable puppy energy that is a surprising contrast to his entire stern character up until he falls for her. I actually DID watch #TheLongBallad just for LYN. Prob won’t watch it again

Right? Yes, it’s so interesting to see ancient sports played in their domestic context (cuju in #TheLongBallad & jiju in #Minglan) - especially as it gives a sense of how universal sport is across the world

In the case of these two examples it’s also a rich environment to observe social subtexts
