#LikeFlowersInSand #drama is superb. I find myself cheering hard during the ssireum scenes even though they're not real. Wonderful acting. #LeeJooMyoung #이주명 is wow! This is exactly the show I needed. Will be bereft when it ends. Slice of life for the win!

I don't think #AfternoonaDelightPodcast ever covered #LikeFlowersInSand kdrama and really, guys, you should. @liarileyauthor.bsky.social @ajpine.bsky.social @megjoknows.bsky.social it's just a total joy precious slice of life with police/mystery.

Finished #LoveScout! Loved it. I am bereft now. Started #Hwarang : it's v silly. Started #LikeFlowersInSand : cautiously optimistic. Also started #TraumaCode -- fun! But not restful. I watch #kdrama evenings, hard to wind down with some shows (like #StudyGroup, which is why it's on pause for me).

I initially dropped this #kdrama at episode 10/12, and finally managed to finish it last night. It increases the final score to 6/10, so by 0.5 points from the last review.

Acaban de traducir la típica frase de "¿quieres venir a comer Ramyon a mi cuarto?" (jerga callejera coreana para referirse a tener sexo) por un "¿quieres venir a mi cuarto a comernos algo?" y nunca he visto una adaptación de esta expresión más acertada 😂 Mis dieces al traductor.

#LikeFlowersInSand no me ha atrapado especialmente, pero tiene algo que me hace seguir viendo un episodio tras otro. Los personajes me encantan, sobre todo el protagonista y aunque el misterio del asesinato no me parece muy original sí que consigue mantenerme expectante.

I'm starting ep7 of #LikeFlowersInSand and it's a good drama but in the last couple episodes the pace has been a bit too slow. It's an investigative #kdrama but we barely discovered anything new about the murders and the romantic relationship hasn't evolved much either...

And honestly, I'm a bit annoyed that the drama was marketed as a slice-of-life sport drama with ssireum focus when the majority of it was on the police investigations and the chain events around it.
Don't lie to your audience to make your kdrama more exciting than it really is.

Some #Kdrama writers really need to figure out what they want their stories to be from start to finish. And they really need to learn that some genres just don't mesh well with each other. This drama lacks of identity made the entire narrative suffered.

Yeah I'm throwing the towel on this.
I really couldn't care less about the investigation or who the killer is. Knowing how confused they are when writing the plot, the writers probably just picked some random villagers like the rice cake owner's husband as the killer.

The story is good, but I can't help feeling a bit deceived on it too. I thought this was a slice-of-life sport #kdrama.
Too much police investigations, not enough ssireum story. Especially at the later half when the focus shift solely on the investigations.
Disappointing.
