#JunichiOkada has aged well, he looks good with beard. The last #jdrama I watched with him in it was from the 2000s.

I've just finished the first season of Last Samurai Standing. It was excellent! Way better than I expected. It's very anime but the combat performances and IMHO subtle uses of CG impressed me a lot. It's probably the best thing I've seen on Netflix in a while.

The first season spends quite a bit of its six episodes setting up a lot of backstory & narrative through exposition that I assume will be dealt with in future seasons, but #lastsamuraistanding still manages to present an engaging story with interesting characters. Looking forward to more. 4/5🔖

There are a few issues with the Netflix series #LastSamuraiStanding, including the fight choreography, which can range from elaborate anime style to angry guys whacking at each other with metal sticks. But the design aesthetic is unquestionably excellent.

Liked Squid Game/Alice in Borderland, you will love this. Loved that it kept that manga feel. Love that you learned about a character’s backstory with each ep. NEEDED MORE! Fight scenes & Cinematography=AWESOME. Needs a S2. A bit predictable
