The costumes and the sets of "The Prisoner of Beauty" are stunning 🌸 Song Zu´er´s gowns are so beautiful and the tailoring for Liu Yuning makes him look very handsome. The sets are also very immersive.

D8: Favorite enemies to lovers

I truly hate this trope, it's rarely done the right way for my soul. But when it's executed well, it is very powerful.

I’m on the last run of #PrisonerofBeauty (ep 33) and only have 5 eps left. I want to watch #LoveBeyondtheGrave next but the eps are only dropping by twos and there’s 40 Episodes 🫢 I might need to find an interim show.

Ok #PrisonerofBeauty is heating up but the cousin and her weak ways is annoying me. Flibertigibit.

#PrisonerofBeauty is talking more about waterways than romance at this point (ep27). it’s so dry.

I've just gone back to the beginning & watching all over again while waiting. Amazed at all the little things I missed along the way. This is a very rewatchable series along with #LoveLiketheGalaxy, #PrisonerofBeauty and #TheDouble.

It’s so much fun to see him (at least for me) “start there” as a support character & advance. He was great in #PrisonerOfBeauty

He so obviously wants to marry her at this point, but he's to proud. I love that she decided that marry her would have to be his choice.

I find rewatching such a comfort as I know what's ahead & if there's anything traumatising I just fast forward or skip the episode altogether. I did NOT watch you-know-who being killed in #PrisonerofBeauty. I saw it ahead even the first time. And skip for any rewatch. He still lives! 🥰

I'm going to watch #Jadewind tonight. I really like Bailu but her drama endings are mostly always sad. 😬. Oh.. who can resist #LiuYuning. Oh the amount of times I watched #PrisonerOfBeauty 😍. I am looking forward to see Wang Xinyue again.. 🥰

The curse is broken! Yay! #prisonerofbeauty #cdrama a very good script and excellent execution by the cast. #songzuer and #liuyuning were hot together. Their love development was fun to watch. #xuanlu was exceptional as Lady Yu Lou, a complex character. I’m pleased with the ending.

I’ve been watching #prisonerofbeauty and loving it. I’m on episode 32 and I have this nagging feeling that #liuyuning will continue his trend in #cdramas. I hope this will be the one that breaks his curse.

It’s been a heck of a work week. I’m looking forward to unplugging for a few days starting Sunday. I’ll see if I can make time for #prisonerofbeauty tonight and tomorrow. So far this is keeping my attention.

I loved #PrisonerofBeauty for the most part, but I personally didn’t like the ending. It was too harsh (for me) to kill off such a beloved character, & I don’t remember much after that

So for me it’s an example of a drama I enjoyed for the journey, rather than the ending in particular

I drop a lot of dramas C, K & J. They start off brilliantly & then lose steam. How far I go varies. Left #LegendoftheFemaleLegend near the end as it took an idiotic turn imo. #PrisonerofBeauty didn't lose me for a minute #AlchemyofSouls same & others that I rewatch. I skip sometimes also.

That was my impression too last year... after having watched #ShadowLove #PrisonerOfBeauty and #LoveIntheClouds especially

There’s art to beginnings, you know? The start of a book, movie or show can be good or bad & it might determine whether your audience sticks around or just drops/DNF’s. Both #PrisonerOfBeauty & #LegendOfTheFemaleGeneral had weak first episodes IMO, but were GOOD shows! The newest #HouMinghao drama…

For context, I had just come off of watching #PrisonerofBeauty, so I wasn’t in the right frame of mind to see a - as I perceived it (rather unfairly) - parody of the same drama

The next time I try ADWAD I will try to approach it more as a philosophical drama, & see if I get further into it 👍

that’s fair. i didn’t expect to love #PrisonerOfBeauty as much as i did but their acting and chemistry (not just romantically) was phenomenal. this is only my second LYN drama too.

And I just remembered he said in a livestream that he wouldn't [SPOILER] die in #JourneytoLove and there were no kisses in #PrisonerofBeauty; the latter containing the hottest bedchamber scene in Cdrama to date. We can't believe a word that man - albeit gorgeous - says. #LiuYuning

#PrisonerOfBeauty was the only one I really rooted for this year.
