I was lucky enough to encounter a kitefin that is transitioning between tooth rows! The top band of teeth in the lower jar is new and is replacing the lower band.

The Longnose Velvet Dogfish is such an underrated deepsea weirdie. Look at that face! We encounter them often but there is still so much to learn about these understudied sharks.

I loved this project that we did on the #EAFNansen in the South East Atlantic. We saw so much cool deep-sea stuff and we even got a few publications out of it. :)
