#AwesomeCharacters
I present Syna, main antagonist of #HeartofOak & #AllianceofOak
She is a human deity of the life cycle. She dresses unremarkably because she believes, and regularly voices, that all deities should be background noise in the lives of mortals
#AwesomeCharacters
#HeartofOak takes course over 7, from May to December
#AllianceofOak will be the next 12 months
The whole #OakengroveSeries will probably last about 3-5 years
Carrhae Liquidators is a 1 month time span, Carrhae Reclaimers is 5 years later, also about a month long
I pumped out 1500 words in just under 4 hours for #AllianceofOak, I feel fantastic
The book is at 44,000 words across 18 chapters. This looking to be a good one
Saea’s arc in Rykensvik is coming to a very successful conclusion
#WritingCommunity
A lot of Syna’s behaviors suddenly make sense when this chapter is encountered in #AllianceofOak
To avoid any potential spoilers, I’ll try to make it simple
Every god aims to please their followers first and foremost. Happy followers = happy deity
Second is appeasing members of the pantheon
#Critterary 8
#AllianceofOak relocates to the jungles of northern Gaten. Much to Oakengrove’s surprise, the land loaded with mega flora and mega fauna. Oakengrove’s first encounter is with feathered velociraptors
He has no idea what these are and gets mugged by eight of them
#Critterary
Oooo, I just did a dedicated chapter in #AllianceofOak to this. I did some research on the native american lore pertaining to Wendigos (can openly say name during winter) and incorporated it into the story
I renamed it to Cannivore
Enjoy
I wish I still had a page of the old fanfic so I could transcribe it and do a side-by-side but instead, I’ll do one of a snow scene from Ember Wind: Corruption against #AllianceofOak
Bear with me a minute to go fetch some screenshots
#HeartofOak broke 100K and I thought that was a behemoth of a story, if I can make #AllianceofOak break 150k, I’d be impressed, much less breaking 200k
I’d probably feel the discomforting need to break it into 2 books
Never read one that big tho, probably never will, not enough hours in the day
