Amy Dudley, wife of Robert Dudley, Earl of Leicester, died at her home, Cumnor Place in Oxfordshire. Her servants found her body at the bottom of the stairs.

Amy Robsart was born at Stanfield Hall, Norfolk to Sir John Robsart of Syderstone, Norfolk, and his wife, Elizabeth Scott.
In 1550, Amy married Sir Robert Dudley (Queen Elizabeth I’s favourite).
