We think we spotted a pine marten or weasle yesterday who left behind its lunch.

I found everything EXCEPT the actual #porcupine. But I know where Porky lives now.

It was great to find an intact system-- a tree on each end and a den in between for bad weather (Porky was in there today). A pretty large trail system for such a small One.

Great snowshoeing today! Students spotted hare tracks (their back leg tracks looked the same as our snowshoe tracks!) crossed by a canine set. Based on the straight line, small size, and lack of human prints, we think coyote or fox. What do you think?

It was an amazing morning for animal prints in the snow-- I share a few below, most common today were snowshoe hare, squirrel, fox, mouse, and turkey.

Snowshoe rabbits out and about, really happy to get a good "snowshoe" pic (their feet have hair pads, not skin pads) along with one on a full run this a.m.
