Getting back to annular eclipses, which you have compared to the eye of a leopard, I believe that some ancient people did 'see' aka perceive #AnnularEclipses as the eye of a feline sky god, to say nothing of an owl god. . .

The gold-orange ring does resemble the eyes of pumas-cougars and owls etc.
