A photo of a mottled orange/brown spittlebug from above. The spittlebug's head is bluntly round and is mottled orange, brown, and white. The eyes are a pale gray mottled with black spots and blend in with the head. The thorax has more white and brown mottling and blends into the wings which have more orange. The body and wings sweep backwards to a point giving the insect an elongated tear-drop shape.

Het wordt mij wel erg makkelijk gemaakt om insecten te fotograferen. Deze cicade is waarschijnlijk mee gelift vanuit mijn #volkstuin. Ineens zat die op mijn armleuning. #Aphrophora salicina. Hij behoort tot de familie van de #schuimcicaden, 8,5 tor 10.7 mm groot. Nu nog even zoeken waar is die nu?
