Some epiphytic aroids, like this Epipremnum pinnatum, are more properly called hemiepiphytes (“half epiphytes”). They escape the daily drought by sending long roots down to the soil. These feeder roots differ from the holdfast roots that anchor the plant in the canopy. #Araceae #Botany 🌾🧪🌱
