My cartoony illustration based on the cult classic film, "Santo Vs. The Vampire Women", rendered in Graphite, Sharpie, and Metallic Sharpie, on watercolor paper. The image is of a buxom Vampire Woman, with Santo the heroic wrestler standing behind her, while 3 bats fly overhead. The woman is rendered in shades of blue, purple, pink, and silver, in contrast to Santo, who is rendered in yellow, pink, and orange, against a swirling psychedelic spiral background in shades of vivid yellow, pink, and orange. The bats are rendered in pink and red tones. Silver Sharpie outlines the figures, and the woman's hair. Dark blue lines give a comic-book sort of definition to the characters too. The style is simplistic and kinetic, and pretty silly. The angles and perspectives are a bit off, making the swirls and repeating lines disjointed. Zoomed in on a cutout of Zorak, the alien mantis nemesis sidekick band leader cartoon character from Space Ghost Coast to Coast, rendered in greyscale. Little sparkles of coppery glitter reflect light from where it randomly seeped out from the glue I used to affix it to the paper.
Angled from the side, of my painting of my cat, ZORAK, who was named after the cartoon mantis alien character. Zorak the cat was a Lilac Point Siamese Snowshoe, who had crystal blue eyes so pale they reflected his retinas in all light, like deer-in-the-headlights. The cat is rendered in pale blue & pale pink color pencil, and graphite, against a vigrant orange background. The drawing style is simplistic, kinetic, and impressionistic. The Zorak the Alien Mantis cutout in greyscale is pasted to the cat's shoulders with coppery glitter glue, and the glue adds reflective sheen to the cat's intense yellow/gold eyes.
