A kind of cartoony, stylized painting I did, of my 2 cats, Tarzan the Maine Coon and Jane The Magnificent. The cats are laying on their left sides, and looking to the observer, cuddling each other, with Jane behind Tarzan's shoulders and spooning him, hugging him with her right foreleg across his body. Tarzan is slightly upside down, showing his white belly, and kneading the air with his paws. They are floating in a red background with a yellow heart shape behind them. Crudely sketched hearts surround them by the dozens, and illustrated details of crowns and repeating lines fill the canvas. The painting is in primary shades only; the cats are both grey in real life, but I have rendered them both in shades of blue and white. The red and yellow background is a bright contrast. The picture of my real cats Jane The Magnificent and Tarzan the Maine Coon, which I used as my guide and inspiration for Jackey's art class live stream theme for "Paint Your Own Pet", as a valentine's love letter to our animal friends. The cats are cuddling on a plush dark brown bed spread, laying on their left sides, and looking to camera. Jane is a silver grey & cream orange tortoiseshell tabby with emerald green eyes, and Tarzan is a massive grey & white tuxedo superfloof with golden eyes. Jane is spooning Tarzan but in the real photo she doesn't have her arm over him. I put that detail in my painting since it's something she does often. They both have reflective yellow irises from the camera flash in this pic. Tarzan is kneading the air with his front paws. Jane is roughly half his size. My cats are adorable, and it's true: My cats love each other, and my cats love me.

A painting of a bright sun, over a darkened landscape. The color palette includes all colors of the rainbow, but with great emphasis on the yellow sun, which covers nearly the whole page, except for a landscape of rolling hills at the lower edge of the paper. The brush strokes are kinetic, simplistic, and textured with lines from the end of the paintbrush being dragged through the wet paint as a stylus, in circular and undulating patterns. A yellow gold orb at the center has bright radiance moving outward to nearly the edges, against a blue & purple night sky with a few visible stars. The use of interference gold & violet iridescent pigments catch light to emphasize the textures and movement.
